RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
For infants born to mothers who did not receive the RSV vaccine (Abrysvo) during pregnancy, these babies at 11 pounds or heavier and under 8 months old can receive one dose of Beyfortus (RSV immunoglobulin) to lower their risk of catching RSV, a very serious respiratory virus. Only during RSV season Oct-Mar.(Note: there is a Beyfortus dose for smaller babies that we do not carry; mothers are encouraged to get Abrysvo during pregnancy to protect their newborns if possible).
